VALUE in Flushing?

If I ever go to Flushing, it's normally for CULINARY purposes (the great variety of restaurants, the myriad markets featuring hard to find Asian ingredients, products).

Been considering going in just for its other "features" as well, assuming its worth the LONG track in from Manhattan on the 7 line.

But, after reading recent reviews, and the RATES quoted, it leaves me wondering - is it WORTH it?

I assumed it would be somewhat cheaper out in Queens, what with the increased competition and lower rents, but apparently the rates, for most places, are the same as in the city!

So, the question is - is it WORTH it schlepping out to Queens in search of GREAT values, or is it just a FOOL'S errand?

Thanks in advance for any input, gents. ;)

The reviews section is now flooded with fake shill reviews for flushing GFE places. They have rates that are significantly higher and close to the price point of the city, unless you are really into the 1-2 additional services IMO not worth it. The looks aren't better than average & some are significantly older than avg. I would pretty much ignore all reviews to the GFE places here.

Value can be had from storefronts & best way is to go through lineups and be willing to walk out. Thats a lot of travel time though if it was the only reason to make the trip.

I'm assuming that like Roosevelt Ave., Flushing has its area where storefronts are CONCENTRATED.

Would that be on Main St.?

There are several clusters in the areas around Main St, Northern Blvd and 162nd St.
Thanks, brah! ;)(y)

Funny, last time I was in Flushing, I was headed towards the New World shopping mall, when I was briefly approached by some middle aged Asian women.

Thought they mentioned something about "traveling to Manhattan."

In hindsight, and after reading about that approximate location here, they might have been seeking "clients."

Def. gotta double back to confirm that.

Mr .Edmond, you want absolute value? main street and 40 th Rd. also by the mta lirr train station. Do not expect nice location. sw, some very pretty. they'll guide you to their set up. price? negotiable. 50-100 all in. full disclosure, i do not partake of this ladies, but i do not judge. to each his own. i posted in other postings how i know the area pretty well. and no, not LE as some suggested, lmao.

on rosie close to main, you can find many store fronts, ask to see the talent. again your expectations can not be to high about the place. i am sure there is rough diamonds to be find. also many of the ladies are fresh off the boat. bring google to communicate. be prepare to walk out. happy hunting, ymmv, stay safe.

Just posted about passing by there and being completely CLUELESS when some Asian women approached me speaking essentially GIBBERISH.

Nah, I was referring more to ESTABLISHED "storefronts," and whether it was WORTH it to head out there for those.

You'd think they'd be WAY cheaper than Manhattan, but from the reviews posted on here, apparently NOT.

Mr. Ed, i hear you, I think if you go to the store fronts on rosie between main and union st. up to northern blvd. that square area, you'll see many many many amp. all with signs, some are not on street level, 2-3-4 floor. do not be shy asking to see the ladies before you decide . even by the precinct. next to precinct, across from precinct. the coppers at the precinct level do not give a shit. could be a good afternoon for Mr Ed, stay safe

Only issue about 40th Rd is that all the women are essentially grannies. Just throwing that out there to temper expectations. The women along Roosevelt from 103rd st to 72nd St (like 20 places) tend to be younger, but will be more expensive than 40th Rd.

Mr EbandFlow, is correct on his observation, however rosie from 103 to 72 is corona, not flushing. different area. some places used to have latinas, asians with some dominicanas and colombianas sprinkled in. yup, demand and supply. keep on walking on rosie and you get to the heights, jackson heights that is. a totally different scene. so many options, so little time. again i could not recommend any place since i have not partake in the jackson heights scene in many many years. preview and full disclosure. i'am writing a review on a place that i visited this weekend in flushing, however it was an agency. and i wanted to see a very specific lady. coming soon to an amp board soon.

Exactly.

Just became aware of the whole Roosevelt "scene," so def. gonna partake.

Again, I'm surprised greater BARGAINS are not to be found in NY's REAL Chinatown, UNLESS..., those "bargains" are limited to the "natives," and not "gweilos" like ME.

I usually find that the "price" the women ask for really comes down to how desperate they are for for business (If they are in demand or it is a slow day). I have seen hot women along Roosevelt, but the ones that will have guys approaching them left and right will always stand firm on their high price since they are in demand, and I have seen guys walk away from them since the woman would not budge. I just can't justify the high price since there are FH that literally charge $120 hhr with prettier girls such as Pretty Yuki in Flushing.

It is only once business slows, they will negotiate to a lower price.

I have lived by the precinct before and can tell you the following:

1) If the location is next to a Korean church or Korean daycare it will not last long. I don't know if it's due to zoning restrictions but so many of these private apartment setups are too close to either of these which is why they typically don't last longer than 3-6 months max before El Commandante issues them a cease and desist

2) The time a store will remain in business depends on the Ahjumma complaint index. I recommend monitoring some places from a distance periodically to see if an old lady is frowning and looking around. Or if it is a gathering spot for old senior citizens.

3) If there is an illegal gambling den nearby this is also an issue. Too many Ahjusshi (Uncle) sitting around isn't good either.

You ain't kidding. There are almost 40 reviews of Geisha Garden since May of this year with high damages. These are old accounts with only one or two total reviews..

Geisha Garden, Fantasies of NY, Pink Angel, PBS, BunnyGirlSpa... all of them are spamming fake content...

I wish they would/could just pay for explicit advertisers here instead.

Nancy Spa was doing the same thing. Two year old and brand new accounts posting 1st time reviews of the newest spot. I only trust the review if it is from an established poster.
